Trajectory Of The Earthbound
Trajectory Of The Earthbound

In this composition, the natural world mimics a tool of propulsion. The deep, wraped curve of the trunk suggests a bow pulled back to It's brealing point, a biological machine frozen In a state of high tension. It Is as If the tree itself has become a slingshot aimed to the Heavens. By isolating the form against a stark, overexposed sky, the photograph removes the friction of the forest. The branches dont just reach, they point. They act as a trajectory, guiding the eye out of the frame and into the void. This photograph also perhaps reminds us that this tention was earned through seasons of growth, wind and gravity.
