Towering Trees

Towering Trees

This image serves as a study In "stippling"- where the individual leaves act as organic marks across a blank canvas. There Is a deliberate tension between the solid, dark mass of the trunks and the delicate, flickering pattern of the foliage. The high contrast rendering removes the mid-tones, distilling the complex ecology of the canopy into a binary lanuage of light and shadow. Captured through a wide-angle perspective the frame captures the "rhythm of growth," showing how the trees compete for space while ultimately reaching toward the same singular source of light.
