To the naked eye, these appear as fixed points, a static ceiling of light. This image reveals the truth of our kenetic existence. By collapsing minutes or hours into a single, flattened plane, we see the universe as It truly Is, In a state of constant, rhythmic flux. Time is represented as a trace. By using long exposures, I reveal the truth that we are In a rapid constant motion. This photograph also represents a silent passage. There Is a profound loneliness and beauty In the star trail. It Is a record of where the light was, documenting a journey across the frame. In this sense, the photograph becomes a map of history.
